Hi all, hope you are enjoying the last of winter and the beginnings of spring. So first up, congratulations to Shawn Snipes! Shawn, an associate media director at Starcom- Mediavest Group in New York City, got engaged to Al Gasparini, operations manager for American Musical Supply, last fall. Shawn is currently making wedding preparations and notes that although she is drowning in wedding books, her previous training as executive assistant to Martha Stewart has come into good use. The happy couple's nuptials are set for May 29, 2004, in Las Vegas.

Congratulations to Matt Carlson as well! Matt married Joanna Reininger in a beautiful ceremony last May in Baltimore. Ben Herman was one of Matt's groomsmen. The couple currently resides in State College, Pennsylvania, where Matt is working toward a doctorate in Spanish and Joanna is currently substitute teaching.

Another wedding to report, Nakiah Cherry got married to Michael Chinchilla last June in North Carolina. Nakiah's wedding and bridal party were full of familiar faces. Delia Hagen '95, Nicole Adams '95, Kim Harper '97 and Erica Cook '94 were some of the bridesmaids and Josh Winter- halt '97 was one of the groomsmen. Other alumni included Olga Gomez '95 and Sara Wayne Callies '99, who sang the wedding march, "This Little Light of Mine." Nakiah notes, "The wedding was awesome and beautiful and everybody had a blast staying in the same bed and breakfast in town." Nakiah is currently working for Nickelodeon in New York City and recently hosted a birthday party at the Whiskey Times Square.

Big kudos goes out to Dan Gonzalez, who released his new self-titled album last October. Dan's been winning awards and accolades for his music, so check it out. Ditto for Matt Calkins '94, Mike Beckley, Bob Kramer, Marc Wilson. The four were profiled in the Washington Post last October for the company they co-founded, Appian Corp. of Tysons Corner, Virginia. The firm sells enterprise software and has clients such as General Motors, FedEx, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Marine Corps, and the U.S. Navy.

So Herman Chiang and his new wife, Heather, have finally settled down in Boston after several years in Chicago. Herman is enjoying his new job at State Street, working in their structured products group. During Head of the Charles last October, he had the chance to catch up with Greg Obenshain (visiting for the Head of the Charles), Jim Rich, Caleb Moore and Burns McKinney. Her- man relayed the happy news that Caleb's wife is pregnant with their first child.

That's all for now, e-mail me with your news for the next issue.
