In my opinion the most important item on our agenda is the 65th reunion in early October. I was pleased to have the College remove us from the crowded June scene and relocate us to the fall, when we can be housed at the Inn and enjoy the fall foliage at the same time. I hope this will help to assure a good turnout of classmates.

I have just received the most recent issue of 355 Out from Peter Cardozo and hasten to offer my sincere congratulations for an outstanding job. It is my feeling that he is able to do a much more fulfilling job on obituaries than occur in the AlumniMagazine for two reasons. First, we are held to a minimum of words for each person, which he is not, and then he can also help everyone's memory of the person involved by enclosing a photo.

Two classmates have recently passed on, both of whom deserve special note. The first is John Hess, who died April 15. He was a prolific writer who originated some of the earliest soap operas such as The Love of Life and others that ran for years but didn't happen to be part of my life. However, when it comes to MASH, The Streets of San Francisco and the Rock ford Files, which he contributed to, I was a real fan. Then in both the Boston and New York papers much was reported on the passing of Dick Durrance on June 13. All through our College years he was acclaimed as one of the world's greatest ski racers. He later started and supported skiing in the Aspen area. We are proud of them both.
