You may remember that I majored in English. But that does not mean I became a novelist or a writer of fiction. You all could force me to become the latter if I don't get more news of any sort from you classmates. I did hear from Curt Anderson by phone and he is showing some interest in the retirement home where I reside in Redding, Connecticut. It has become quite popular and has outgrown its newness after two-plus years of active life. Trying to jump the hurdle from living in your own home to group living, just don't put off the decision until there is no room at the place of your choice. A neighbor of mine here was a roommate of Herb Hirschland for several years even though they were different classes (he was '38). His name was Everitt Wycoff, called "Wyck," and he went into commercial aviation as a profession and passed away here a few months ago. His wife thought some of you might have known him.
I have just finished my annual trip to Florida and though I worked hard at it, the results were small. I talked to Bill Thomkins in Naples but found that Robilee was not well and so did not visit. He did mention the lack of word from Hanover, which was never the case in the past. I spoke to John Finocan, who assured me the Florida mini would go on as before in March. We will hear more from that.
Remember our 65th next October and, more importantly, attend.
