"Hello Muddah; hello Fadda. Here I am at Dartmouth College. Where I once got educated, 19 years ago I almost graduated."

Well, "almost" maybe a bit of a stretch since it's safe to say college graduation is safely behind us. And I have yet to receive notice from one of our classmates about their own child's pending matriculation—to Dartmouth or any other college (is there any other college?)—though I'm sure that is not far behind either. But since we are on the cusp of our 20th reunion with the College on the hill (whether it actually takes place in 2005 or not, next spring still marks the same anniversary), I thought I would stir up those nostalgic juices ahead of time to see what kind of remembrances would come to mind. There is freshman trips, the bonfire, dorm life, off-campus housing (or "subsistence," whichever might have been more appropriate), Occom Pond, frat row, the Skiway, the Thayer "layer," Collis, abroad programs, sophomore summer, room-to-room 'tails, sororities, senior societies, the Baker bells—clearly just too much to mention in a single column. I could go on, and on, and on—especially given the dearth of news—but I will resist. So we will set aside nostalgia for the limited news of the day.

Check out our class news on the Dartmouth Web site—www.alumni.dartmouth.edu. Go to "Classes" and find our 1985 year (careful—it might make some of you nostalgic). You will find a photo submitted by Doug Fulton, of classmate Mike Reillys annual Cape Cod golf weekend. Among fellow '85s in attendance for the April weekend were Jeff Howe, Jay McLaughlin, Dave Hall, Mark Gilligan, Mark Goggin, Robert Ramsey and Kent Croft. It is a great picture (obviously loads of nostalgic reminiscing going on)—no information on the scoring results. Suffice it to say, these guys did not pose a threat to the scores at Shinnecock this year but clearly enjoy the annual gathering. Absent from this year's roster were Tom Klupchakand Tim Coughlin, who were otherwise committed with young kids on the home front. No further details provided on anyone—c'mon, someone must have something on this gang.

Meanwhile, Jeff Weitzman. (Ah, yes, Jeff. Do you remember when he.. .oops, letting that nostalgia seep in again). In addition to his duties as our class Web site guru and technology whiz Jeff continues his trajectory up the corporate ladder, now with Coupons Inc. (private company based in California). They make those in-store promotional coupons at grocery stores that pop out of those shelf machines—keeps my kids occupied for hours while I market. Not certain that my kids are the target audience for their clients, but I am sure that president and COO Weitzman will use his marketing expertise to parlay this business in the right direction.

Dr. Christopher McCartie joined the medical staff of Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center (Greenfield, New Hampshire) as director of pediatric care, specializing in the needs of children with disabilities. Chris and wife Susan live on a farm in Nelson, New Hampshire, with their two children, which gives me location envy for sure (ain't that nostalgic?).

Now I am sure an inkling of nostalgia is starting to creep in toward the old alma mater, right? Nothing? At the risk of actually having to report to you the details of the 3, 234, 871st notice received on our "high-profile" classmate, Laura Ingraham (I won't even bold her name as it's been in here so many times already)—please send us news, even if you're not feeling nostalgic!

All the best to all of you!
