I heard from globetrotters Christine (DuRocher) Carrino and Justin Carrino late this summer as they were winding down their seven-month circumnavigation (okay, not quite) of the planet: "We're currently in Argentina. Ifyou're ever looking for something to waste some Internet time on, check out our blog at www.travelblog. org/bloggers/carrinos.There are lots of pictures." I was, in fact, looking to waste some time recently and so took Chrissa up on her offer and wound up spending the better part of an hour poking around the Web site. It's a highly entertaining and enlightening read that I recommend to anyone else considering such a trek or, like me, looking to kill some time.

Stephanie (Adamson) King dropped me a line to spread the good news that our classmates continue to do yeoman's work populating the country with future College faithful. Stephanie writes: "My husband, Bill, and I welcomed our daughter Sophia on January 15. We are living in Silicon Valley, where I am a corporate attorney with Latham & Watkins LLP. I recently reconnected with Kelly (Wardwell) Rierson and Lani (Sipe) Curtis, who are also new moms in the Bay Area. I would love to get in touch with any other '98s who are out our way!"

"I just moved back to New Hampshire after a long hiatus," writes Lon Setnik. "I'm living in Concord with my wife, Cynthia, and two kids. I'm practicing emergency medicine at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester. I've rediscovered, among other things, the lack of taxes and the cool nights."

Wendy (Simon) Habeski and husband Jon welcomed the arrival of their first-born, Benjamin Robert, on June 7. The Habeskis, now numbering three, make their home in the Boston area and I'm sure would love for you to drop in and meet Benjamin if you're passing through (though it might be a little weird for you to do so if you didn't or don't know Wendy, so use your best judgment, okay?).

From our fearless leader Betsy (Lewis) Roberts came the following update: "Anna (Schecter) Berkowitz and Dave Berkowitz had a little boy named Seth in May, and Shirley (Sperling) Paley and husband Eric Paley had a daughter named Zoe (also in May). Khalid [Osbourne Roberts] and I got to meet Zoe on a recent trip to Boston. And Khalid and I recently moved to Berkeley, where I'm doing a postdoc at UC Berkeley and Khalid is working for LeapFrog in nearby Emeryville."

Go towww.dartmouth.edu/~csrc/students/ careers/stories/cuevas.html foraverycool profile of classmate Ernesto Cuevas. The article, titled "Drawing on Experience," is one of a series commissioned by the Colleges career services office as part of the Alumni Stories Project. According to the Web site, "The Alumni Stories Project is made possible by a generous donation from the John B. Kovas '63 Career Discovery Program. By showcasing the rich variety of careers embraced by Dartmouth graduates and offering success stories from many different fields of endeavor, it is hoped that current undergraduates will make their passion their work. At the very least the Alumni Stories Project demonstrates that career paths after Dartmouth take many interesting twists and turns and whereyou start may not necessarily be where you end."

And, finally, a couple of administrative notes: From September 15 until October 31 alumni will be asked to vote on a proposed new Association of Alumni constitution. Alumni can vote online, by phone or by mail. For more information visit www.voxthevote.org.

In June 2007 trustee Nancy Jeton '76 will complete her second term on the board of trustees. Alumni are being asked to nominate candidates for her replacement. For more information visit http://alumni.dartmouth.edu/news/ news.php?p=3&id=o446.
