Greetings from Hanover. Frank Aldrich has been generous in sharing news of classmates contained in holiday greetings that he received during the recent holiday season. John Gooding writes enthusiastically about the revival of the football program and the return of head coach Buddy Teevens '79- He writes from Athens, Georgia, where he spends six months a year with his daughter. Dan Carpenter writes that their usual holiday spending will be replaced by a donation to hurricane relief in the Gulf states. No doubt other class members have made the same decision to give a gift where it is really needed. Chad and Barbara Ramsdell report a November move to Deer Island, Florida, where Chad can enjoy golf. Joan Rowan, Moose's widow, notes that she keeps in touch with Harry and Peg Hampton and recently visited them in their home in Exeter, New Hampshire. Harry Bissell writes from Stuart, Florida, that he enjoyed our 6oth reunion and looks forward to our 65th. He comments that "Hanover still looks great even with all the new buildings." Word from George Miller, writing from Boulder, Colorado, reports a recent South- American cruise from Lima, around Cape Horn, to Buenos Aires. Of interest is an upcoming special meeting of the Association of Alumni. The meeting is being called to vote on a proposal to change the alumni constitution to allow future amendment proposals to be voted on using all media, eliminating the requirement that one must be physically present in Hanover in order to vote on constitutional questions. Sounds to your secretary like a good idea. By the time you read this, the result should certainly be known. Efforts to find an appropriate place at the College for Bob Bull's collection of WW II photographs continues. President Ted Safford has written to Dartmouth President Jim Wright suggesting some ways in which this might be accomplished. Further developments are eagerly awaited. Any suggestions are welcome. Frank Aldrich describes us as a "hardy bunch." I agree.
