A recent conversation with Craig Cain revealed that he had a visit in late May from old college roommate and '45 classmate Jim Kehoe. Jim now lives in Marietta, Georgia, and drove to Hanover, stopping on the way at Westover Field, where he had been commanding officer in the 1970s before his retirement from the Army Air Force. Craig and Jim were in kindergarten, grammar school and high school together before coming to Dartmouth, so had lots of memories to share. Craig remarked that they talked nonstop for three days, even covering their early married lives with children coming, developing careers and old friends to recall. They also shared many war stories, including Craig's experiences as a Seabee and Jim's as an Army Air Force pilot. A recent letter from Harry Hampton has news about our classmate Bill Merrill.

Harry has also been in correspondence with Dave Mott, who visits Bill at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans regularly. Bill has lived at the veterans' home for more than a dozen years since a stroke left him partially paralyzed. His book, Watergate Prosecutor, should be of interest to all classmates. A friendly note to him at the veterans' home would certainly be appropriate.
