Class of 1955 went international with a very successful mini-reunion in Toronto. Jennifer Whelpton and Joe Mathewson put on a great event for the Blodgetts, Chafees, Chases, Daniells, Doyles, Fangers, Gosses, Martels, Merrikens, Parkers, Phillips, Sautters, Weisenfelds, Willies, Betty Brady and Harry Lewis. For those classmates who have not attended a class minireunion, they are not to be missed. You learn a lot about the area you are visiting plus get to renew class friendships. A special treat was Woody Goss receiving our class award. No one could be more deserving for all he does for us. Thanks, Woody and Nancy!

A sad note at the reunion was Paul Merriken's eulogy to Dick Hogarty. An obituary will be in a future DAM.

Continuing on with the mini-reunion theme, make sure you are planning on being in Hanover for Homecoming October 13-15. Foliage should be at its prime, and there will be a number of great events during that weekend—Dartmouth night, football, other sporting events, class dinner and breakfast. Its lots of fun—be there!

the details as this is being written. You will be hearing shortly about this March 2007 wonderful touring opportunity.

Bob Garver and Judy are happily retired in Hilton Head. Bob continues to row. His club not only rows in their age group but beat outyounger crews. Paul Manness and Karen carry on in Chevy Chase. Paul, unlike Garver, forsakes golf and relaxation for his judicial robes as U.S. chief bankruptcy judge. He and Karen have a great time taking their grandchildren to Europe; lastyearone group to Prague and Budapest, this year to Spain.

Another classmate who carries on doing great work is Joe Herring. He related recently his experiences as pastor of Christ Church in his suburban Atlanta community, which has a significant number of Hispanics. Joe being a Dartmouth scholar preaches in both English and Spanish. He comments, "Don't worry about these new Americans speaking English. Their children, like in all our immigrant history, are bilingual. When I ask them what language they want for confession, they say English. English is what I speak with my friends."

Look forward to seeing you in Hanover. Stay well, be well!
