With the nights getting a little crisper and the days shortening I'd appreciate it if you'd dig down into that pile on your desk and find the newsletter that had a 60th reunion questionnaire form on it. Think about football games at the stadium in Hanover that we shared and the gorgeous fall colors that were the backdrop for them. Perhaps we tapped a keg afterward and sang for hours. Take pen in hand and tell us about it so we can share those reminiscences cences of college days and add on your current opinions. Send it to me and I'll compile it with many others received to date. We should get them out to you before reunion whether you plan to attend or not.
Behind the scenes in reunion preparation is ex-advertising ace Jim Schaefer, who finds New Jersey winters increasingly avoidable by programming more time in Florida each year. Jim stays fit on the golf course by swinging more than he used to and dry fly casting during Jersey summers.
Marty Ullman was planning to make the fall mini-reunion because they have other plans for next June. He and Ann stay busy with travel and nearby cultural events from their Santa Rosa, Californai, home.
Jack Jansing unfortunately made wire services by dying from a heart attack while visiting the George H.W. Bush home in Kennebunkport, Maine, in August. His wife, Shelley Bush Jansing, is a cousin of the ex-president. They divided time between Harbor Springs, Michigan, and Hobe Sound, Florida. Jack had been a generous supporter of the class and College.
We caught up with Walt Friend in Duxbury, Massachusetts. He and Cynthia are in a roomy retirement community there while not in Florida and recently celebrated 59 years together. Out of College Walt joined the family baked bean business, which was sold in 1964. Since then he's been investing, playing golf and trying to stay out of trouble. Their four kids are in their 50s and prospering. He has the 60th on his calendar.
Would love to have you put me on your Christmas letter list. Merry, happy!
