The snow is snowing and the wind is blowing.. .it's definitely winter here in the Tetons. I must admit to playing hooky at times when I should be working, but the call of the slopes is too loud to ignore.That is one advantage of being an entrepreneur!

I was able to visit briefly with Kelley Fead at the December Alumni Council meeting, where she was presented with a 2006-2007 Alumni Award. Kelley is a partner, vice president and creative director at Slack Barshinger and Partners. To quote the award committee: "You can't enter governance debate without the courage of your convictions, and Fead has shown that hers run deep: She served on both the joint committee on alumni governance and trustee elections and the alumni governance task force, working with others for five years to draft a proposed new alumni constitution. She's also served as president of the Alumni Council, Alumni Association and the Dartmouth Club of Chicago and in many other roles." Congratulations Kelley!

Peter Raskind was just elected president and appointed to the board of directors of National City Corp. in Cleveland, Ohio. He has worked at National City since September 2000, most recently as the head of consumer and small business financial services, responsible for National City's retail branch network, small business banking, electronic banking, corporate marketing, card services and education finance. He also oversees National City's mortgage and home equity businesses. Prior to joining National City he spent 17 years with U.S. Bancorp in Minneapolis, where he gained extensive experience in corporate trust, treasury management services, strategic planning, corporate and international banking, foreign exchange, corporate finance and loan syndication.

On a sad note, Stoney Morrell passed away on October 22,2oo6, from cancer. Acomplete obituary follows in the Obituary section.
