Dr. Lincoln Wales, M.D., sent me some news from Northfield Minnesota, where he and his wife, Gretcher are cared for in an assisted living facility. Line's career as a Navy doctor was largely spent on active duty in WWII and the Korean conflict. Another Minnesotan is John Kelley who divides his time between Sarasota, Florida, and the frozen North. John and Margie still play golf but John's creaky knees make the sport difficult whereas Margie's game is still very good. A kind note from Vance Smith '71, M.D., writes about Judge Edward "Cam" Farmer Jr., USMC veteran of the Pacific theater. At age 87 Cam was asked to return to the bench as he has done before. He is still operating as an intercontinental tour guide and world class raconteur for his many friends. Dr. Smith concludes that Cam and the rest of the 41 class are all heroes and an inspiration for the younger classes. Stacy Hill reports from Wilsonville Oregon, that he and Kay are well after hand surgery for the latter. Stace was pleasantly surprised when the Oregon Motor Bureau renewed his driver's license until September 2024! Roy Rowan has published another book, his seventh, titled Throwing Bullets, a tale of two pitchers chasing the dream of making the major leagues. Roy, who lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, is well known as a journalist for Time,LIFE and Fortune. Now you can check your local library or bookstore for his latest literary offering. Cheers to all.
