Old man winter finally arrived in the northeast with gusto on Valentines Day and appears to be interested in hanging around for a little while now. For those of us who have endured another slow start to the Northeast ski season, the February dumps were such a welcome reprieve. Winter is tough enough without having to endure rock skiing in January. We have now had two snow days in as many weeks and my kids are definitely hoping March lives up to the "lion-like" reputation and dumps more snow. But then again, by the time you are reading this column, we will have hung up the skis for the season and should be having our spring thaw in southern Connecticut—affectionately referred to on the Hanover Plain as mud season. We will all probably be about ready for those longer days and warmer seasons—unless you are Valerie Hartman Levy, who still manages to find humor in calling me when it is a balmy 20 degrees in Connecticut to inform me (with glee) of the 65-degree day she is enjoying in Atlanta.

It was very nice of you to send a ton of news Johns way for last months column. And I suppose the holiday season left you sort of high and dry for sharing more news this round, eh? With a scarcity of classmate news yet again, we will be continuing our game titled "Where in the world is (fill in the classmate name)." Charlotte Hart was the random classmate selection last go-around. But

we received no information for an update—no sightings, no musings, no nothing (shame on you, Anita Grant and Debbie Willing Carson, as I know you both must have some news to share on your former roommate)! So we are just going to mention her name again until news trickles in: Charlotte Hart; Charlotte Hart; Charlotte Hart; Charlotte Hart. Ah, forget it—this is silly. On to our next selection.

Actually, before we make our next selection, we will roam the girdled earth together to Buenos Aires, Argentina, for an update straight from the source of another illustrious classmate. Barbie Van Buskirk cheerfully updated our very own class president Margaret Marder recently with the following e-mail: "I lived in Boston (Back Bay) for nine years before moving down to Buenos Aires, where I have been living for the past 11 years with my Argentine husband, Marcelo and our three children Nicolas (7), Matias (3) and Alexandra (2). I left the corporate world (Gillette) last May after 21 years! Looking forward to doing freelance training with ex-Gillette colleagues and loving my freedom and spending more time with the kids! And I am definitely on for our 25th." Now that's a rather complete update and great news to know Barbie will be Hanover bound in June 2010!

As for more classmate news, if you send it, we will print your news.

And if you do not send any news—well, then we might just start making stuff up. Or worse, John and I will have to fill you in on random stuff about ourselves. Boring!

So get back in touch and update us on your whereabouts. Drum roll please...our next query: Where in the world is Peter Harned? Last known to be residing in Darien Connecticut, with classmate spouse Dr. Amy Harned (who has seen many patients in her busy Stamford, Connecticut, practice, including Dartmouth alum George Davis 52, a.k.a., fun-loving dad of yours truly-—it is a small world!) Join the fun—get in the game!
