Talk about armchair entrepreneurs—Evolving Vox LLC, a furniture rental company started last fall by economics major Jon Groetzinger '07 and history major Russ D'Souza '07, logged 250 orders after one week of business. Still, the bustling business made good on its promise of free delivery within seven days. Barely. The business model is simple: Customers select items to rent, by the term, online (www.evolvingvox.com). For example, $170 gets you a 24-inch flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge and futon. At the end of the rental period, Evolving Vox comes to pick up the furnishings for free. "It's been a phenomenal experience," says Groetzinger. But not for long. With the duo's graduation coming in June, Evolving Vox is already up for sale.
