Here's the latest news from the soon-to-be-40-year-old class of'90. For those of you classmates who've already achieved that milestone, congrats on reaching "middle age."
Jonathan Ezrow writes with uplifting news: "I was married on November 11 to Kate Clough, who teaches middle school English and history in Brooklyn. Kate didn't go to Dartmouth but she lived on campus before any of us. When she was a toddler her father was a coach for the ski team and her family lived in a faculty house across the street from the gym. Our wedding ceremony was performed by our classmate Bruce Sacerdote, who is licensed to perform weddings by the City of New York. In other news, my daughter Lily is 5 and started kindergarten this fall. Since 2 003 I've been a partner at Goldentree Asset Management in New York, where I manage several debt portfolios. If anyone knows a good middle-market company in need of capital or wants to set up a city play date with a 5-year-old shoot me an e-mail at jezrow@yahoo.com." (An intriguing invitation.)
Julie Urda (avid Class Notes reader) writes, Last year I received my Ph.D. in organizational behavior from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, and I've spent the last academic year as a visiting professor at Brown. Now I'm happy to announce that I've accepted an assistant professor position in the School of Management at Rhode Island College. I'm really excited about this opportunity and the ability to stay in Providence. If anyone wants to check out Water Fire this summer I've got a place for them to stay." (Thanks for leaving the light on for us.)
Mike Seifer has some accolades to add to his CV. Aside from being named Real Estate Forum's Next Generation Leader, Mike was also named Commercial Property News' Hot Broker. These are both highly prestigious awards in the commercial real estate industry. (Nice work, Mike.)
Also in the professional arena, our very own class treasurer Peter Pasi is the new executive vice president of emotive, LLC, a direct-response marketing company specializing in Web site development, Web-based fundraising, marketing and communication for nonprofit organizations and Republican political campaigns and committees. (Hes also doing a bang-up job with our class finances, by the way).
That s the latest for now—enjoy the summer as our 3 os disappear and our 20th reunion rapidly approaches.
