Short and sweet is the mantra this edition, just like the apple-picking season here in New England.

Ron Aikens writes with some wonderful news: "My wife, Donna M. Harris-Aikens, and I are pleased to announce the birth of our second child, Ronald James Evans Aikens. Ronny's big sister, 19-month-old Riley Marie Aikens, calls him Aubie,' his mommy calls him 'RJ' and his daddy calls him 'Good Times.' We hope that he won't spend all of his time trying to memorize the list of names associated with his cuteness. Ronny brings unparalleled happiness to a house already bursting with love and joy and a doggy (Mikka) that likes to kiss. We are truly blessed!" Congrats to the newly expanded Aikens clan.

Another classmate whose family has expanded is Scott Facher. Twin boys Leo and Miles arrived a few minutes apart this spring. They are keeping Scott and his wife, Penelope, busy in their initial foray into parenthood. When he's not changing diapers, Scott's an English teacher at Gabrielino High School in San Gabriel, California. The Fachers live in Culver City.

Mike Luby is winning accolades for his contributions in the workplace. Mike has been selected by Pharma VOlCE as one of the "100 Most Inspiring People in the Life Sciences Industry." He was selected from a group of nominations submitted by readers. Mike is co-founder, president and CEO of TargetRx, a pharmaceutical sales and marketing effectiveness company based in the Philadelphia area.

Angela McConney has been elected president of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, New England's premier minority bar organization, for the 2006-2007 term She's been working as an assistant district attorney for Suffolk County since 2004. Angelas also the coordinator for corporate sponsors for the annual Martin Luther King breakfast in Boston. On the more personal side she says she's been active at St. Cyprians Episcopal Church in Roxbury.

Wendy (Silverstein) Richmond writes: "I am back in my hometown of Princeton after living in other places since high school. It is kind of weird being back but certainly nice to be near family and old friends. I lived 'down under' with my Aussie hubby for seven and a half years. We have three kids. My baby boy (Toby) just turned 1! He is the only one born in the USA, girls Madison (6) and Eden (3) are Aussie chicks."

That's all I have this time around. Please shoot Bill or me a quick update when you get the chance. Neither procreation nor wealth creation is a valid reason for falling out of touch with the class. Enjoy the rest of the fall.
