Walter and Sara Brummund are flying again. Having set aside their small-plane piloting to raise their three children, they are now enjoying piloting once again. Walter is getting his twin engine rating. Their children are 20, 18 and 16 years old, with the eldest son studying Chinese, their second son just graduated high school and their daughter doing a semester in Mexico. Walter continues to enjoy his allergy and asthma practice while Sara does her radiology. Earlier in his career Walter earned a Ph.D. in biologic and organic chemistry and did research in that field. As interesting as it was, he prefers clinical practice and the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of the patients he treats.

One of Walters neighbors in Elm Grove, Wisconsin, is Don DiDio. After Dartmouth and Tuck School Don studied tax law and worked for the IRS. Currently he has a solo practice in Elm Grove. His major avocation is collecting antiques as well as restoring his beautiful old home.

Walter also keeps in touch with Heinz Kluetmeier, and has fond memories of accompanying Heinz on photo shoots. Heinz continues his very successful career as a photographer with Sports Illustrated, working out of New York.

Dick Thornley came to Dartmouth from Maplewood, New Jersey, and he and his wife, Linda, have now been residing back in Maplewood for more than 30 years. They have three daughters and five grandchildren. Dick works for Mulberry Metal Cos., which fabricates metal parts of many sorts. One of his principal hobbies is gardening. He would like to be in touch with Harry Miles.

Boulder, Colorado, is home to Dennis Eberl. It is an ideal setting for doing the rock climbing, bicycling and hiking that he enjoys. Since 1981 he has been with the U.S. Geological Survey as a hydrologist. His research involves study of sea sediments and crystal growth. He hopes to reconnect with classmate Bob Roper.

Cindy Pierce and her husband, Bruce Lingelbach, recendy sent out their annual letter with news about their growing family and Pierces Inn. They look forward to hosting our mini-reunion over Homecoming Weekend, October 19 to 21. Bob and French McConnaughey are organizing a wonderful program for the weekend. Please save the date and watch for further details in the newsletter and on the Web site: www.biggreen65.com

Plans are also in the works for a class 65th birthday celebration, probably to be held in Washington, D.C., in early May of 2008. Details will be in the newsletter, class column and on the Web site as they become available.
