Spring is here. Finally. And though as I write this I am off the coast of St. Johns in sunny, warm weather, it's been anything but that in New England this winter. On campus things are pretty much the same as they have been for decades—lots of snowmelt and mud, interrupted by that occasional sunny crisp day that defines the pure beauty of New England winter. But I have to confess; warm breezes sure seem better than the days of below-zero weather we endured on our way to morning classes some 36 years ago.

Now on to the mailbag.

Rocky Whitaker '74 sent a note that the 2007 Hanover Hall Partners conference was held in Las Vegas this past fall. Among the attendees were our classmates Leonard Barnche, Jeffrey Hunter, Richard Jones, Lawrence Ivey, Gary Lafayette, Carl Richardson, Calvin Thomas, Michael Watts and Richard Wedgeworth. Members of the classes of 1973-75 founded the HHP conference, and its mission is to maintain and strengthen the bonds formed by members during their years at Dartmouth. Judging from the picture that accompanied the note, I'd have to say, mission accomplished.

On a separate note news comes that one or the founding members of HHP, Richard Jones, was recently named director of diversity for K&L Gates LLP. Prior to joining K&L Gates, LLP, Richard had been a diversity and workplace issues consultant at Sprinborg and Associates, LLC, based in Berkeley, California. Richard is based at K&L Gates' New York City office. Congratulations, Richard.

And Blake Winchell sent in a quick note to report that fellow '75 Mike Venuti has just joined Bio Seek as its new CEO. Blake was on the search committee and comments, "Imagine my surprise when I saw Mike's resume and that he was a classmate [as anyone who knows Blake realizes] we didn't run in the same circles in Hanover. Mike is a summa cum laude Dartmouth graduate with a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from MIT and 1'm...n0t." Small world.

Well that's all the news for now. Hard to believe that in a few short months our daughter Lizzie Bildner '08 will be graduating Dartmouth and joining our ranks. Time doesn't stop for anyone—so make the most of it. Nancy sends her best.
