When you get this you might rejoice that "For lo, the winter is past, the rain (snow) is over and gone; the flowers appear on earth; the time of the singing birds is come," Song of Solomon, so I am told. Hanover had some snow but nothinglike our weather in 1942-43. Forgive me for the nostalgia. Helps fill up my column. Bob Winstanley going strong in New Canaan, Connecticut—and still flying his airplane. Long phone talk with him was much appreciated. Dewitt "Bud" Baker wrote that he and Judith spent New Year's week in Prague. Then off to South Carolina to visit with Tim and Kitty Hartnett at the end of March. And then to Bulgaria and Romania in the summer. Truly "'round the girdled earth" the 46 ers roam. Paul Davis writes that after 48 years in California he and Jean have returned to New Hampshire. Laconia, to be exact. He was looking forward to a sleigh ride in the White Mountains. Truly this is the "return of a native," as Paul hailed from Concord, New Hampshire. In his letter he extends best wishes to all '46ers. Thank you, Paul. Milt Cooper was recently honored by his St. Vincents Hospital (Bridgeport, Connecticut) for 50 years of service and leadership. There's a rumor abroad Milt may be retiring, but I doubt it. Congrats, Milt! Note from Fred Mcßride: New address is 3313 Spring house Circle, Stone Mountain, GA 30083. Had a long talk with him. Sends his best to all. If I didn't tell you earlier, Tom Adams fixed $125,000 as our goal for this year's Alumni Fund. He and his agents will be in touch. Also, our mini-reunion dates are October 16,17 and 18. More on that to follow. With sadness I must advise that the following classmates have died: Steven Kenny on January 31,2006; Malcolm McLane on February 2. and Judson Hannigan on February 22. We extend our deepest sympathy to their families.
