The Alumni Fund closed out June 30 so I hope all you late givers made the cut-off date. Our fearless president and fundraiser Tom Adams tells me we will make our goal ($125,000) but asked I hold off giving the present amount until all returns are in. Thank you all for giving. I'm getting reservations for our mini-reunion (nine already) and it is October 16-18. Football opponent is Holy Cross. Some of us remember professor Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy taught philosophy. It is 35 years since his death. Fie is now being recognized as one of the great scholars and thinkers of the 20th century. People inter- ested in his works can contact the 501(c)(3) fund at Thistles, 88 Old Pump Road, Essex, VT 05452. Talked with Col. Charles Bodley. Still on his farm in the wilds of Maine. Gave up farming it years ago. Long retired from the Marine Corps, but vacations at McDill Field (Tampa, Florida) in the winter. John Potter still in Rumford, Rhode Island, and still our class expert at playing bridge. Has a son in the manufacturing business (John did that too) in Scotland. John was a great pole vaulter in college. Did 12 feet and now amazed women can do 15 feet! Reached out for Jim Heller and Joe Donahue. No success. Also tried for Father Jon O'Brien but he was off spreading the word elsewhere. He's still stationed at Georgetown University.

With sadness I report the deaths of these classmates: Harold Cottle, M.D., April 5,2002; Philip Hahn, March 29; Augustine Callahan, May 10; Robert Gerrish, May 19; John Emery Jr., April 19, 2007; Wilbur Bull Jr., June 4; and Francis Gaughen, May 6. We extend our deepest sym- pathy to their families.
