Walt Petke will celebrate his 100th birthday this summer. Way to go, Walt! You are an inspiration to all of us.
Bill Adams says he is fine except he keeps losing his balance. He went to a grocery store, turned around to get a cart, lost his balance and fell to the concrete. He got up and felt fine. Meanwhile, someone had called 911 and before he settled down two police appeared. That was the most exiting time for him in two years.
I spoke to Max Feinberg, who says he is not too happy with his life, as his health results in his leading a sedentary life. He would like to be able to get around and play golf again.
I spoke to Bert Jacobs, who feels great but has lost all touch with Dartmouth. I believe that he really enjoyed hearing from me and bringing a touch of Dartmouth back into his life.
Lee Kent lives in Beverly Hills, California, a sedentary life due to two bad hips. Wife Simone is legally blind. They are both hanging in there and he sounds great. They met in France when he was in the service and have been happily married since.
I had a lovely long conversation with Morris Sherman, now 97 years old and still going strong. We reminisced about the time in the 1930s when we were both in business in Puerto Rico. I manufactured buttons and he handkerchiefs. He lived there for 50 years, and now lives in Florida. He retired last year from the real estate business.
Get in touch with me. I promise a real good conversation.
