Red Rolfe Field, meet Biondi Park. Workers completed renovations to Dartmouth’s baseball facility in time for the April 1 home opener, an 8-6 win over Siena. Featured among the new amenities: expanded seating (including stands directly behind home plate) and dugouts, batting and pitching cages, a brick backstop and, most important, artificial turf that melts springtime snow better than natural grass can. A baseball scoreboard—replacing the old football scoreboard that’s been used for years—completes the upgrade. One thing remains the same: free admission.
