Word comes from Hanover that William M. Leavitt was a visitor there in July. Leavitt left college in 1874, and we doubt if he has been in Hanover since. His impressions of what he saw would be interesting.
At the annual meeting of the Windham County Historical Society, held at Newfane, Vt., August 14, the principal speaker was A. E. Cudworth, who gave an address on "Tory Ownership of a Windham County Town." As he is the leading authority on the local history of his region, he had something of interest and value to say.
Miss Carolyn T. Sewall, daughter of our John Sewall, sailed from San Francisco, September 13, to resume her missionary work at Tientsin, China.
"Dacryocystitis, Etiology and Treatment, by John C. Lester, M.D., F.A.C.S., Reprinted from the Medical Journal and Record," is the title of a pamphlet recently received by the Secretary. He has read it with great interest, but has to confess that he is not quite sure what it is all about.
