Henry B. Thayer, LL. D., of New Canaan, Conn., who was in quite poor health last summer, went in January to Sea Island, Ga. He writes from there, March 28,

"I have spent the winter here, and amgoing home this week feeling better andstronger than when I came down."

He enclosed in his letter his usual contribution to the Alumni Fund, and added,-

"So far as I can see, the prospects aregood for a continuation of checks from mefor some years to come."

E. M. Nesmith recently called on Frank A. Newell, our oldest living member, at the Home for Aged Men in Boston, and reports finding him "functioning extremelywell considering his malady. He seemed tobe quite cheerful Reads a greatdeal and keeps fully posted on what isgoing on in the world."

Newell was able to attend the Boston alumni dinner in February, at which he and Hardison and Piper '76, and Parkhurst '78, were the only representatives of classes back of 'BO. Hardison was the only one of the four older than Newell.

Mrs. George H. Rockwood has purchased a house in La Jolla, Calif., and intends to make her home there, although she is likely to make frequent trips to New Jersey to visit her son and her two grandchildren.
