Edward M. Nesmith of Melrose, Mass., and his new wife have taken a leisurely automobile trip to the Sunny South since early December, and are located at 208½ Vine Ave., Clearwater, Fla.
Hon. Seth N. Gage and his daughter, Mrs. Gladys Rogers, are spending the winter in Texas and Mexico, visiting the scenes of his earlier adventures and activities in railroad construction and ranching.
On January 5, Rev. and Mrs. Clifford H. Smith of Proctor, Vt., celebrated their golden wedding. Nearly one hundred and fifty people from Proctor and other Vermont towns called to extend congratulations. Cards and letters were received from a host of friends near and far, including several college classmates. There was also a cordial letter from President Hopkins, expressing his usual high opinion of the class of '79.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith have been "retired" for the past twelve years, but during that time he has preached nearly half of the Sundays, has officiated or assisted at more than ninety funerals, and performed twenty-four marriage ceremonies. He still preaches as opportunity offers.
Secretary, 72 South St., Proctor, Vt.
