The listing of professional classmates in the April MAGAZINE has created real interest and the Secretary is now able to promise particulars concerning the special activity of many of these men. Space requirements, however, will make it necessary to limit the reports to three or four in each issue. In the current MAGAZINE you will note that the Secretary has included a medical man, a minister and an engineer with particular emphasis on the engineer because of a high honor that has recently been awarded to him:
Three '07 cheers for Modern Pioneer Phil Chase!
Four of the five ministers listed in the April MAGAZINE have responded to the Secretary's appeal for more information about their activities. David Thomas of Perry, Oklahoma, has not been in close touch with his classmates since graduation and his letter will, I am sure, be read with keen interest:
Bob Cochrane, Surgeon, has practiced his profession in Boston and New England continuously since graduation but the specific nature of his activities and their extent will be news to many of his classmates and interesting news. Bob received his M.D. degree from Harvard Medical in 1911; became Surgical interne at Boston City Hospital in 1911 to 1913; was appointed to the Surgical Staff of the Boston City Hospital in 1916 and became Surgeon-In-Chief in 1931, a position which he now holds. Bob is also Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Harvard Medical School, Surgeon at the Cambridge Hospital, Consulting Surgeon to the Framingham Hospital, the Leonard Morse Hospital, Natick, Mass., the Melrose Hospital, and the Emerson Hospital, Concord, Mass. He is also an Associate Staff Surgeon at the Faulkner Hospital, the New England Baptist and Newton hospitals. Bob limits his practice to Surgery and has a special interest in Thyroid Surgery.
