THE SUMMER QUARTER of the Southern California College of "Graceful Gambles for Graduates" covered the field with two topnotch parties.
On June 6th Jim Norton '06 arranged a gathering at the San Gabriel Country Club which picked up speed as the first ball was teed off in the afternoon, gathered rapid momentum as the indoor athletes and masters of ice-tinkling arrived in the early evening and reached a crashing crescendo in a speech by Pres. Eck Hiestand '10 which was a thought-provoking masterpiece of confusing proportions.
August 27th saw the group assemble at the Tap Room of the Acme Brewing Co. This proved to be an unusual party inasmuch as refreshments and entertainment were provided gratis by the Acme Co. Needless to say, the boys were not at all slow in extracting the full enjoyment quotient which was so graciously extended. (A rumor is out that this party will be repeated in the spring.)
A combined list of attendance for the two parties include such lusty souls as:—

In closing, a word of greeting to Lincoln Wilson 'is who is now a member of our group, coming to us from San Francisco.
