The Foot Ball Dinner held at the University Club in Boston after the Harvard Game was not as largely attended as in past years, but nevertheless was a very enjoyable occasion. It was most informal, and for the benefit of those who once objected to being called upon for a speech I will report that we had a general roundtable discussion of those subjects which are always customary at our class gathering, viz: what we had been doing and what we knew about the others. Benny gave us the low down on Hanover gossip. Tony Willard joined us later in the evening after he had completed his "Math" assignment which so often brings him to Boston at this season.

Those present were, Dave and Helen Parker, Owen and Minnie Hoban, Jim Barney, Tim Lynch, Benny, Donny, the Secretary and his daughter Betty, and Tony Willard.

Warren Kendall underwent a serious emergency operation at the Doctors Hospital in Washington on October 27th and is now reported to be making a fine recovery.

The Convention of the American College of Surgeons the first week in November brought three of our doctors to Boston, Bones Woodward, Freem Sewall and Dave Parker. Bones made it the occasion of quite an extended trip as he was able to visit Warren at the hospital, meet his son Walter in New York, Walter being now employed in the engineering department of Pratt-Whitney at East Hartford, Conn., hob-nob with some of the ninetyniners in Boston besides attending the Convention, and wind up with the Dartmouth-Princeton Game. Freem Sewall made a quick trip to his native town of York Village, Maine. They both brought their wives with them.

Cards were received by the Secretary from the Tom Whittiers announcing the marriage of their daughter Katherine Calderwood to Mr. John Cullen Kennedy on October 25th, at their home in Brooklyn.

Jim Walker has recently sold his general store at Lee, N. H., and is now in the employ of the N. H. State Highway Commission as a supervisor.

Peddy Miller writes that he still finds it impossible to stay "retired" as he has joined the faculty of Beloit College, Wis.

H. L. Watson reports that he has once again changed his residence address; this time it is 17 Foster Road, Belmont, Mass.

Bob Johnson's sudden death on October 17th came as a great shock to us all. A delegation of six classmates was present at the funeral services in Concord. Obituary notice will appear next month.
