Ed Hunter has been appointed a member of the New Hampshire State Defense Committee by Governor Blood. He is Chairman of the Housing and Industrial Plants Committee.

Miss Harriet Tuxbury Qua, daughter of Stanley E. Qua, associate justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Court was married, May 3 to Dr. Henry Martyn Lemon, son of Professor and Mrs. Harvery B. Lemon of the University of Chicago.

The doors of Massachusetts Hall will swing wide open at 8 A.M. Friday morning, June 13th, and from then on, we shall be enjoying the fun of welcoming the returning classmates, as we are set for the Fortieth Reunion. You must all send back your reservation cards to the Bursar's office as the class has nothing what-so-ever to do with room reservations. The list of those returning with wives and families continues to grow, so do not miss this time of seeing old friends and enjoying the pleasures of Hanover in June when the College is at its best.

Harold Hastings and his daughter Mary last summer visited his son Lemuel, now doing forestry work at Westwood, Cal., among the Sierras near Mt. Lassen. Harold's second son Henry (D. C., '39) was married in October to Barbara Butler, of Middlebury, Vt.

Business is good with Dr. Brooks, known to us as Bobby. Last month, within the period of 36 hours, he was the presiding genius at the advent into Claremont of five babies, divided between the hospital and their homes, five or six miles apart, and despite all this bustle he was able to keep dinner and bridge engagements on the two successive evenings.

Roger Dunlap, who leads a double life between theology and insurance (or are the two really the same?) has had his address changed on him—from 329 East Penacook St., Concord, to 329 Eastman St. It is the same house, but the street has a new name.

The Secretary is pretty much encouraged by the response to his questionnaire. At the date of writing (May 8) 54 of the 82 men to whom he sent the document had replied to the first request, as well as 27 of the 40 widows. This is fair enough as such things go, but if you are one of the recreant ones, probably by this time you have received a blistering communication asking you why in...., . . .., you 1
