Bemus Pierce, much to his disappointment, had to miss the Reunion last June, because at that time he was pushing demonstrations of his surface-milling machine for peat production, working against time. It paid off, however, because in September a New York corporation was formed to buy all the rights, and now construction has begun on the big commercial models and several of them are already released. Bemus still continues as designer and research man and sees a busy year ahead. His two sons are sergeants in the Air Force, one due for a year overseas, and the other gets his discharge in October and will then resume his medical course.
