The class of '07's Fortieth Reunion is scheduled for June 20 to 22, according to an announcement just received from Hanover. These dates are one week after Commencement. All other "2" and "7" classes will hold their reunions at the same time. Suggestions for '07's Fortieth are invited. One has already been offered. George Liscomb, who has attended Commencements and Reunions for 20 odd years in succession, is very definite in his preferences. He wants a dormitory for those who require sleep, but particularly he wants a large tent in front of it and an unlimited supply of free beer. Further, having been a guest at many class reunions, he would like to invite men from classes who were in College with '07 to make themselves at home at '07 headquarters.
Speaking of '07's Fortieth, President Jim O'Neill has already marked the dates on his calendar. He missed the Thirty-fifth and doesn't intend to miss the Fortieth. Jim writes, "The whole family is now out of uniform. Paul, the youngest, left the Navy a few days ago. Hugh is back in Yale finishing his senior year. Richard enters Yale as a freshman in September. Jamie is a sports writer on the Washington News. Margaret is an editorial assistant on the Ladies' Home Journal. Patricia, John's wife, was home for three months after two and a years in the Pacific for the Red Cross. She left last week to return to Japan, and perhaps China, for the Red Cross." Jim has been on sabbatical leave from Brooklyn College since February and has used his extended holiday gardening, writing and fixing up a new farm home in Lakeville, Conn.
The Boston '07 Luncheon continues to be held on the last Wednesday of each month. Those present at the August Luncheon were: R.usty Wright, Bill Smart, George Liscomb, Bishop Niles and Dick Lane.
