HERE if THERE: We feel more than somewhat ashamed of ourselves for an omission of some news that came our way a few months ago. It has to do with our hard-working Treasurer George Hanna, and it was buried amongst the usual questions and answers that are transmitted between a treasurer in Boston and a secretary in New York. Without further fuss, let it be known that George became a member of the Boston Univ. Law Review last fall, and has subsequently been chosen as one of the Review editors. We learn from friendly lawyers that this is quite an accomplishment, and it does wonders for young barristers when they launch their careers in the hard world of facts It is hardly news to the readers of The New York Times that Dick Durrance and Percy Rideout '4O were instrumental in a somewhat fruitless search of the snow-covered mountains of Aspen, Col. for skier Alexander McFadden, a prominent Cotton Broker. Dick &-Co. found the body of Mr. McFadden buried under an avalanche of snow half-way up 12,095-foot Independence Pass And now, we'll dip into those faded copies of what we jocularly call our files, to state a few facts that were true two winters ago, and may well be the truth today. Bill McCarthy is an ass't dept. mgr. o£ L. Bamberger & Co., gigantic department store in Newark, N. J. Bill and Jane at last report had a four-year-old daughter Catherine, but that score may be incomplete to date Bob and Pat McCarty are living in Watertown, N. Y., where Bob is a sales engineer with the Ryan Plumbing and Heating Co., Inc Hugh, Gertrude, and NancyMcLaren are living at 19707-99111 Rd., Hollis, N. Y., from where Hugh commutes to his office, Vermilya-Brown Co., Inc., building contractors of N. Y. City Now here is an item which looks suspiciously "out of date," but you never can tell. Capt. Eddy Palmer was last reported as Chief of the Gastroenterology Section, Walter Reed General Hospital, Wash., D. C. Ed has a daughter Hannah, just about two years old, and of course, a wife, nee Jeanne Walther, a graduate of Wheaton GeorgePatterson, wife Francis and daughter Caroline (three) are lapping up that Florida sun where George is a V. P. with the Hoffie System of Florida Inc., restaurateurs Mike Peisch, we know for a fact, is with Clark, Carr & Ellis, Lawyers, in NYC Ralph and Jean Rey-nolds are up Albany way where Ralph is an assistant resident in pathology at the Albany Medical College Doctor Bud Richardson is an orthopedic resident at the Vet. Adm. Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Bud has a youngster, Evan, aged three and a half years The assistant treasurer of the New Milford Savings Bank (that's New Milford, Conn.) is Earle Robinson. Earle and Jeanne boast of at least one child, a daughter named Emily, aged one and two-thirds Sey Rutherford and wife Elizabeth are presumably in Swarthmore, Pa., where Sey is an auditor with Sun Oil Co.

WRITER OF THE MONTH: We have noted with interest a healthy tendency that prompts our classmates to correct out-dated information listed in this column. It would almost appear that it is well worth the risk to dig into our rapidly ageing file from time to time, for old news begets new news. Such is the case with Bill Deal whose name was mentioned in connection with Stouffer's Resturants. Bill sent on a very welcome letter bringing us up to date on his own afEairs, and on the affairs of some local New Yorkers. We quote:
"Thanks for the plug for Stouffer's. Unfortunately, I shall be leaving their employment shortly. I'm taking over as National Supervisor of all fountain and food service facilities of the S. H. Kress Company. Two hundred forty-three units along the East Coast, across the South and Southwest, the West Coast and the Hawaiian Islands. One of those jobs where you only have to 'standardize, organize, and coordinate everything from equipment, kitchen layout, personnel, service and food.' Just several words for one hell of a lot of headaches, but it should be interesting.
"Bert MacMannis and I have talked about starting a little luncheon club at Stouffer's. DustyRohde, Bob Alpert, Sam Thurm and Bert are all in the vicinity to mention just a few. I still haven't seen Dusty.... he must go to Nedicks for his vitamin D. Bert was interested, and perhaps through the Column you may be able to work up some general interest. By the time _ this goes to press I'll be on the new job, but still in New York. The fellows can contact Bert at the Curtis Publishing Co., Lincoln Bldg., NYC, or call me at The S. H. Kress Co., 114 Fifth Ave.
"I saw Bert a couple of weeks ago. At the time he was in the process of moving his frau and kinder from Scarsdale to 37 Brownley Rd., Stamford, Conn. He was so worried as to how the movers were going to get into his unshoveled driveway that we didn't have time to discuss details.
"Sam Thurm comes around frequently and Bob Alpert used to. Either the food or the glove business has kept him away recently
"I had dinner one evening, or more_ precisely a drink, while Bill Cunningham and his date ate. Bill is in the Bronx Savings Bank and certainly looks the part of a successful banker. He has put on weight, gotten gray at the temples and looks like a friendly banker in whom little old women would repose their trust and husband's life insurance."
THE CLEARING HOUSE: It's Derby time again, and Dune Farr is once more "jockey" who is going to ride the '39 thoroughbred down the ALUMNI FUND homestretch. Recent word from Dune indicates that he is up to his elbows in personal affairs such as his house reconversion (which he is personally working on, and is now one third complete), increasing business demands, and the like. Of course, we all are going into high gear about this time, but Dune's added extracurricular activity in the Alumni Fund is a big and somewhat thankless effort. Our promptness in cooperating with Dune and his team of "experts" will, we feel sure, be greatly appreciated.
1939 BOSTON GET-TOGETHER: Pictorial evidence is shown here as proof that a '39 Boston get-together was held last June at John Perry's little red house in the country. Among those present were, left to right, Charlie Thompson, Bob Howe, Moose Wyman, Endy Smith, Doc Tower, George Adams, John Perry and Les Chase. That's Bill Lee behind the camera.
