April 1943 HENRY W. THURSTON, JAMES W. NEWTON

Spud's grandson, R. G. (Bob) Smith, whom we saw at our 55th Reunion, is in Kearns, Utah, taking basic training in the Medical Corps, Army Air Force.

Three more of us have recently become octogenarians: Wardwell, Jan. 13, Wales, Jan. 28, and Newton, Feb. 20. Biff's poem to Newton should be a joy to all three.

To Billie Newton 1863 February 20 1943 Brave veteran of your four score years Survivor of "blood, sweat and tears" Accept sincerest homage due To him who sees his struggles through.

May kindly friends and easy life Keep all your future free from strife! Live nobly as you have in past! Keep up your standard to the last! "Biff."
