Now news. I plead the Fifth Amendment on sources. Apparently, the coeducation weekend in Hanover was quite successful and we had the largest class. Sally McCoy,Leslie Fleming, Betsy Leggat, SharonRogers, and Marty Campbell were. Sally is the general manager of Sierra Designs, an outdoor outfitter in San Francisco. Leslie Fleming is the creative director for The North Face, where Sally used to work. Betsy Leggat now works in sales in New England for W.L. Gore and Associates, which makes Gore. Before that, Betsy was with The North Face. Now what is interesting about this picture? THERE'S OBVIOUSLY SOME NORTH FACE CONNECTION. MAFIA OR SOMETHING. Sharon Rogers came to Hanover all the way from Spain, and Marty Campbell works in San Francisco making grants to health care non-profits for the James Irvine Foundation. Marty was formerly in Africa, obviously doing something exotic, and I am told that she swims in the Bay every morning (temp.: 50). Marty went to Mongolia and Morocco for mountain climbing this year. Marty, your life is way too interesting. But I bet shop at Walmart with the rest of us, wearing dark glasses and a raincoat, right?

John Henderson lives in Seattle and was married last year Jip Chitnarong. They were actually married twice, once in Seattle and once in Thailand. That'll reinforce the bond. Actually it's a good idea I barely remember my wedding and would welcome the chance to redo it. I think I would wear a sweatsuit this time. Hendo has left teaching to become a library scientist in the public schools and Jip does research in public health. Hendo also has three rabid interests: hiking the Olympics, opera, and baseball. Greg Van Lieu and his wife, Jennifer Kerns, attended the Thai wedding. They live in Seattle and are expecting a child. Greg is a rare independent, a software engineer in Seattle who does not work for Microsoft.

Someone saw Karen Masterson at the coeducation weekend. She is an attorney for a corporation in San Francisco and has a couple of kids. This same person also saw Jamie Trowbridge and his wife, Laura, who joined a group for dinner and were very excited to find a babysitter at the last minute for their four children. I'll bet. Jamie is the publisher of Yankee Magazine. Becki Ambrose was unable to make the weekend because she has a 3-month-old baby girl named Arden Colette Ambrose Winters. Arden will be skiing the Birkbeiner this winter in her Daddy's backpack (don't get excited and call social services those papoose things). Becki is finishing up her Ph.D. in education at Wisconsin and then she and hubby Alec Winters '81 hope to move somewhere more temperate. I don't know why. With a husband and children with Winters in their name it would seem appropriate to stay put.

And that's all. Remember nominations and reunion and have a nice January!
