The father-and-son dinner meeting held Wednesday night, December 29, with EddieChamberlain '36 as speaker, attracted 50 alumni, sons and fathers, some fathers without sons and some sons without their fathers. The undergraduate count was ten, or about 85 per cent of the present greater-Lowell delegation.
Present with their dads were: Hector McDonald '51, Pete Reilly '50, Dave Emerson '51, John McGuire '52, Alan Sherburne '52, Howard Wing Jr. '49 and Dan Wing '50, Alex Athanas '52 and John Marshall '51. Tom Leggat '47 came without his father, but was chaperoned by his two brothers, John '45 and Dick '48. Present without his sons, who were spending the holidays in Cleveland, was Harold E. Clayton, father of Hal '47 and Johnny '51. Alumni fathers present included: Joe Donahue '13, Howard Wing '15, Charles Hildreth '01, Bill Pepin '18, Max Sherburne '17, Peter W. (Bill) Reilly '18, Walter Reilly '11 and Dr. Ernie Letham '30. Pepir.'s son is a hopeful 1954, and Latham's an equally hopeful 1960.
Eddie Chamberlain, in addition to a most interesting discussion of Dartmouth topics, brought along the 1948 Harvard game movies, to round out one of the best gatherings of alumni in this district for some time.
