Throughout the fall season, the St. Louis Dartmouth Club has had regular activities. The annual fall picnic (stag) for alumni and undergraduates was held Sept. 11 at the country home of Earl Poe Jr. '43. The October smoker, which will be known throughout history as the "Caviar Smoker," was held at the home of Russ Fette '39. The November smoker, at the home of Bill Rench '34, was honored with the presence of Director of Admissions Albert I. Dickerson '30, which is probably one reason we had the largest turnout of recent times. There were so many alumni present that your correspondent could not get into the room, and had to spend his time helping the host empty an icebox.

On the Saturday of the Cornell game the St. Louis Club met with the local Cornell club for a Western Union wire broadcast of the game. About 25 Dartmouths and slightly fewer Cornells showed up for a buffet luncheon and a fine afternoon marred only by the score. We had two former Dartmouth football greats present in Don Otis '37 and Phil Glazer '34, who was traveling this way from his native

Memphis. Our annual Christmas dinner for alumni, undergraduates, applicants for admission, and fathers, was held Dec. 27 in the Tower Room of the Congress Hotel. Harry Deckert '35 presided and introduced three undergraduate speakers, Jeff MacGlashan '52, Hap Salisbury '51, and Joe Stehlin '50, who gave us a few sidelights on current undergraduate life. Bob(2.4) Turner '33, drawing upon A1 Dickerson's visit, gave the applicants the low-down on how to get into Dartmouth. Bows are in order in the direction of Norm Probstein '43, for the wonderful job of taking care of the arrangements for the dinner.

Our weekly meetings at lunch are still being held on Thursdays at 12:15, in the back room of Gerken's Buffet, 321 Olive St., St. Louis.
