On December 30, at the Saturn Club in Buffalo, 79 alumni, undergraduates, fathers of undergraduates and prospective applicants enjoyed a holiday luncheon meeting and get-together. The party included 39 alumni, 21 undergraduates and 13 enterprising candidates for admission to the college. Of these 13, five were the sons of Dartmouth alumni and were with their fathers. Six fathers of undergraduates were also among those present.
With the assistance of Bob Sanderson '46 at the piano and Les Lambert '21 as baritone lead, the group waded through most of the songs of the Big Green and, after twenty minutes of college movies (thanks to Hugh Johnson '30 and his sound projector), the meeting ended with the singing of the alma mater. There will be a cocktail party preceding the dinner meeting and the wives of the alumni are invited to attend. Following the election of officers, Professor Dimitri von Mohrenschildt will be the guest speaker on the subject of "Russia Since the War." A big turnout is expected. In yiew of this meeting the regular monthly luncheon, scheduled for the last Tuesday in January, has been cancelled.
Final arrangements have been made for the appearance of the Glee Club in Buffalo on April 7. The concert in the main ballroom of the Statler Hotel will be followed by a dance in the Niagara Room. Plan now to attend this grand affair.
