DECEMBER 1965 EDWARD B. REDMAN, PROF. FRANCIS L. CHILDS, HERBERT W. RAINIE

One of the speakers at the opening assembly of the freshmen this fall was our Francis Childs. His subject was Dartmouth history. Speaking of Francis would say that he was the only 1906 man whom I saw at the Penn game.

The Class will be sorry to hear that JimRitchie died on August 31, in Barnet, Vt.

At the Brown game the only classmate I saw was Art Chapln. Looked and behaved like a freshman.

The following '06 men were present at our annual pre-Harvard luncheon held at the Algonquin Club. Boston, Friday, October 22; Chapin, Childs, Cooke, Cromwell, Powers and Redman. We were glad that our honorary member, Bob Russell was able to be with us and also Dr. Hill, Cromwell's son-in-law.

Matt Bullock '04, Roger Brown '05, Harold Niles '07 and Bill Smart '07 were present with us at the lunch.

Bill Page phoned me from Camp Hill about nine o'clock hoping to speak to his classmates so he was very surprised to find that it was a luncheon meeting and not a dinner.

President Powers presided and called on each one present to tell how the world was treating him. Walter announced the appointment of our 60th reunion committee which will consist of Francis Childs, chairman, Art Chapin, himself, and Ned Redman.

Francis will be very glad to get any ideas and suggestions about the program. The dates of the reunion are June 10, 11, and 12. As this is our last official reunion please make every effort possible to be present.

King Benton wrote Francis that in his retirement he is busier than ever enjoying his family. Has two children, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Shorty Neal's address is now 87 Charles St., Rochester, N. H.

The day of the Dartmouth-Harvard game the Boston paper came out with a picture of Nat Leverone on the front page, and the headline said that this was the 52nd year Nat had attended a Harvard game and they might put him in the lineup.

Birthdays in December: Ned French,Francis Childs and King Benton.
