The announcement of the choice of John Kemeny as the next President of Dartmouth seems to have met with enthusiastic approbation from students, alumni, and the general public. We wish him a wonderful, successful administration, as have been the administrations of Presidents Dickey and Hopkins. It has been the good fortune of the present living members of 1904 to witness and, to some extent, participate in both of these administrations and numerous members of the class have enjoyed the personal friendships of President Hopkins and President Dickey.
Ellen Hinman, according to her custom of many years, has been spending the winter in Clearwater, Fla.
Augusta Fletcher writes that she has made several trips from her home in Chattanooga to visit her daughter, Martha, in Birmingham, Ala.
Sally Johnson reports that affairs in Vero Beach are proceeding about as usual but the weather reports indicate that she and other Floridians, with most of the rest of the country, have been compelled to endure abnormally cold weather.
Occasional messages come from Jim Walker, Reddy Hatch, Cloyd Maynard, Mary Sexton, Isabel Gale, Yilda Whittemore, Bertha Edgerly, Anna Tubbs, Geneva Webster, and numerous others, indicating that although thinned in numbers there is still much spirit left in the class family. Marion Woods, our coordinating secretary, continues to be an effective correspondent and newsgatherer, whether in Fairhaven, Mass., or Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Please note that Orra Roby's address (Mrs.Harrison G. Roby) has changed from Washington, D. C., to 315 North LaGrange Road, LaGrange Park, I11. 60525. She writes cordially that any of Bill's friends and classmates will be welcome at any time.
