On the night of February 18 about one hundred alumni from the Springfield area crowded into the University Club to have Eddie Chamberlain bring them up to date on the Hanover scene, with emphasis on sports, and to see the movies of the great 1948 football season.
Hearing Eddie and seeing the movies were the next best thing to returning to Hanover and seeing the actual football games. Eddie did a grand job, showing his flare for observation and humor. The movies couldn't be beaten, at least from the "green" point of view.
Refreshments were served, songs were sung, old friendships were renewed, and new friendships started on their way.
