Hello and welcome to another year of gossip and chatter. There are lots of summer and late spring weddings to report so we’ll start right out with the marital part of the news. I may be a wee bit off on the dates, but I hope I’ve covered everyone who’s entered to ranks since the last column.

Tony Roisman married a classmate of his at Harvard Law School, Florence Ellen Wagman, on June 17. Marty Reich, who is at Seton Hall Med School, married Susan Obermaster on June 24. Pete Ralph and Audry Mae Clark were married on June 16 in Connecticut. Pete just received a de- gree in hospital administration from Yale. Michigan med student Windy Bremer mar- ried Sherry Tucker last May. Jack Benson was married to Priscilla Jenkins in June. They are now living in Holden, Mass. Sol Rockenmacher and Linda Jean Lawrence were also married in June. Sol was in Han- over for the summer, but will be back in med school this fall Harvard, I think. Bill Katz married Betsy Park the end of June. They are now in Monterey, Calif, where Bill is in the Army Language School. Enough of the weddings for now.

Many familiar faces in Minneapolis this summer. Eric Anderson dropped in for a week-long visit and renewed an old liver ailment. Having the big guy here was of course cause for celebration and many flocked out to pay homage to the Marine from New Jersey who had finally come to the Land of Sky Blue Waters. Lars andMary Lofgren, Mike and Sue Hollcm and Chuck and Sally Cole were among those treated to the tales of Marine activities in the South Pacific. As our systems were about to give way we filled Eric with coffee and aspirin and waved farewell as he headed for San Diego and another year in the Marines. Russ and Pat Ingersoll were also in town for the summer. Russ will be starting Virginia Theological Seminary this fall. Gerry and Jan Huttrer stopped to show off new daughter Ann Marie (born the first week in June). Gerry spent most of the summer in Nevada on some geological proj- ect, but they’ll be back in Seattle this fall. We’ve also seen John Kersey around, but he’s usually either studying medicine at the Univ. of Minnesota or up in the woods on a canoe trip.

Now back to the weddings. Herb Maurer and Sandra Liljeholm were married in late June. They are living in Albany, N. Y., where Herb is in his third year of med school. Doug Hamilton married Elizabeth Ruggles last May. As far as I know they are now living in Greenfield, Mass. KenHillner and Sarah Holm were married on June 2 in Chesterton, Ind. Ken is now a graduate assistant in research at Indiana University. Way back on May 12, Paul Bax- ter and Molly McKinnon got married. Paul is with Scott Paper and they are now living in Syracuse. Chuck Brower and Barbara Bentley got married on June 30. They are now in N.Y.C. while Chuck is at Columbia Law.

As luck might have it, I received multi letters from all sorts of people last May just after the final column had been sent in. So now a delayed thanks to those who sent such nice long notes that were too late to use. Among them was news from: PeteHolland saying he became the father of a boy last November 7; Tom Kirby saying he’s now a parachuter at Ft. Bragg. ArtLaFrance saying he’s married and in Yale Law School with lots of other 60’s. Dick andElaine Chase, from Singapore, saying they just had (May 10) number two son, Gregory William; John Wheaton from the South saying he wanted to go North; and from Ron de Neuf saying he is the proud papa of a boy born last April.

Well, enough for this month. Beginning next issue and continuing throughout the year, you will all be treated to the fresh wit and sparkling personality of Alex McGin-nis. MaGoo is kindly taking over for me while Mari and I, with our new addition, Ann Elizabeth, go to Jordan for a year. I will be teaching Public Administration at Bir-Zeit College about 15 miles north of Jerusalem.

Please send any and all news to Alex, either at his home 1306 Moss Ave., Pe- oria, 111., or to Abbott Hall, 710 North Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, where he is staying while he goes to Northwestern Med School. Also, if any of you happen to be in Jordan on a pilgrimage or something, do feel free to stop in and see us.
