The suspension of monthly luncheons for the summer tends to dry up the sources of material for an interesting report on the activities of the Association and its members. The one salvation is the annual stag picnic which has become an outstanding event.
The success of this affair is due largely to its location. For many years Ned Grant '30 has generously turned over his farm to the Association for the picnic. While the baseball diamond is not in quite as good shape as Yankee Stadium it serves the purpose very well. This year the softball game was rained out in the late innings, but thanks to Ned's wonderful hospitality—the rain didn't dampen the spirit of the picnic. The big crowd merely took over Ned's lovely home and a grand time was had by all.
The success of the stag picnic unmistakably led to the demand for a picnic with the wives included. This proved to be an outstanding event and is now firmly established as an annual affair. This year it will be staged on Genesee Mountain on September 9.
