Although these notes are being written on October 3, you will not be reading them until November. By that time the football team will have played six of its scheduled nine games. The class will have been out of College 24 1/3 years and our twenty-fifth reunion will be only eight months away. Many of you will have seen the Big Green in action and will have had an opportunity to see and talk with other members of the class at the games. And, as a result of those encounters with your classmates, I hope you have all made a resolution to attend that Terrific Twenty-Fifth reunion next June and renew a lot more old friendships. For now is the time to start planning to be with the rest of the gang in Hanover on June 15-17, 1951.
Tentative plans for that gala June week-end provide for the following activities:

Naturally, all of the plans are not yet complete, but you can see from the above that it is going to be a grand weekend and one that no one of the class will want to miss. So—mark down the dates now (June 15-17) and start planning to be with the rest of us.
THIS MONTH'S MAIL BAG:Leroy J. (Roy) Kelly has been elected president of the Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Football officials.—Oliver S. (Obby)Barker has been receiving plaudits as an architect for his plans for low-cost homes now being constructed by L. Grossman and Sons, Inc. in and around Quincy, Mass.—A note from Stewart (Stew) Orr to the effect that Osmer(Os) Fitts and houis (Lou) Ingram recently turned up at one of the weekly Boston luncheons. Lou, who had been spending the summer in York, Me., was on his way back to Pittsburgh where he is now devoting his time to the family business, and said he would have driven over to Hanover for the August reunion but he forgot all about it!—A letter from Katherine Bourne thanking the class for their kind expressions of sympathy at the time of Monk's passing.—A five-page spread in the May issue of Movie Thrills magazine entitled "The Durango Kid at Home" giving the low-down on the domestic life of Charlieand Mary Starrett.
Our Hanover spies report that Louis (Lou)Neuman was in Hanover in August but ducked out just prior to our August reunion. September visitors to the Inn included the Richard (Dick) Majors (the bride and groom), the Stephen (Steve) Mitchells, the Andrew(Andy) O'Connors, the James (Jim) Gradys, the Henry (Hank) Andrettas and the DelWorthingtons.
Undoubtedly, a lot of the gang saw the Holy Cross game, which ended in a 21-21 deadlock, in Hanover last week-end but we have no reports on which ones at this writing. We are looking forward to seeing a lot of '26ers at Ann Arbor and Detroit at the I'ow-Wow this week-end and at the class get-togethers before the Harvard and Yale games in the near future.
Our esteemed treasurer, Herb Darling, has sent out the bills for the annual dues and asks that you send him your checks, pronto. Whether or not you receive this MAGAZINE depends primarily upon whether or not your dues are paid, so let's not procrastinate. Send Herb your checks now—it you haven't already done so.
And remember—plan now to be on hand for that Terrific Twenty-Fifth next June.
