Warren Prosser "Babe" Smith has purchased a seat on the New York Stock Exchange and will as heretofore make his office at 14 Wall Street. Shearson, Hammill & Co. announced with regret Babe s retirement from their firm and Dominick and Dominick announced that he would clear through their offipeT'Babe will conduct a general investment business.

Janet Lenfestey and Paul Gadebusch 2nd are to be married this spring. Nate Lenfestey and Janet announced the engagement of their daughter. Young Janet attended Kent Place School and is a graduate of Emma Willard School in Troy and the Katharine Gibbs School in Boston. Paul Gadebusch graduated from Andover and M.I.T. He served in the Army in Italy and is a chemical engineer with Socony Vacuum Oil and a Beta Theta Pi.

When the column is not filled with names and Fund notes we will tell more about President Atwood of the Minneapolis Eastern Railway Co., the shortest railroad in the United States. It's a good story and if space permitted we could fill several pages with pictures of Hap and Old No. 4 with the route of the Minneapolis Eastern. More anon.

And speaking of pictures, Nancy Shumway of Lynnfield appeared in all the Boston papers on January 16 as a passenger on the first 1950 B & M Snow train to Eastern Slopes, North Conway's Mt. Cranmore. Following in the footsteps of Father Carl.

Nathaniel S. Perry was married December 27, 1949 to Gail Faunce Daggett, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Clinton Daggett of Lewiston Heights, N. Y. Peter S. Perry was best man and Charles C. Perry was an usher. Nathaniel is a student at Montana State University in Forestry, Missoula, where he met Gail. Stephen and, Alice Perry were also present, of course.
