JANUARY MEETING

One o£ the most interesting and delightful meetings we ever had was held January 13 at the Nassau Tavern in Princeton. Our speaker was Prof. Harwood L. Childs '19 of the Political Government Department of Princeton. Prof. Childs spoke on "Trends in American Politics." His short discourse was thought provoking, and led to an animated discussion by the group present. The ideas which received the most attention by the group were—pressure groups, foreign policies, and the future of the Republican Party. We all enjoyed it very much. In addition to a fine speaker, our meeting place, the Senior Room, was very congenial with excellent service on the refreshments. We regret that the fog was so bad that night that some of our members did not want to risk the trip to Princeton; they missed a very fine meeting.

The following were present: from Trenton. R. J. S. Barlow '14, George Barlow '43, A. J. O'Mara '09, Ivan Prowattain '18, William J. McNulty '28, Richard Beshlin '28, George W. Lee '28, Monroe Taylor '45; from New Brunswick, Van Ingham '27, R. LeBoy Height '23, James Morgan '41, Ralph Rankin '47, Ray Lawrence '47, Herb Bailey '41; from Princeton, George Caldes '37, Harwood L. Childs 19, John Turkevich '28, William H. Heeremans '29, George Cole '36, George Coley '31. George W. Elderkin '02, Irving C. Wolff '16, Kendall P. Foster '12.
