We didn't know anyone appreciated reading about the affairs of the Club, but since it has been brought to our attention that we did have an active audience, a resumption of the notes seem in order.
This may be just what Comdr. F. StirlingWilson '16 has been waiting for. If it is- so that he keeps failing to report at the weekly luncheons—the notes will be discontinued shortly. This will just serve as notice that you can't get your name in the news by being absent. We are still looking for a larger attendance at the luncheons because we believe that aside from the fellowship which they provide, the list of speakers which Hal Leich '29 has arranged has been excellent and their informal talks both interesting and informative. If anyone has any ideas as to how our luncheon programs could be improved, your Secretary would appreciate hearing from you.
You will soon receive a notice concerning the spring dinner which is to be held on Wednesday, April 12. We hope that this will give you enough notice so that you can plan on being present. Dean Stearns Morse will be down from Hanover to be the principal speaker and all of you who know him are aware that whatever his topic will be, that it will be an interesting one. The dinner had originally been planned for the end of March, but since the Dartmouth Club of Baltimore is having the Glee Club down from Hanover on March 30, we have attempted to give them any support we can toward making the event a successful one. Their membership is much smaller than ours and, therefore, any aid by way of attendance that anyone in this area can render, we are sure will be much appreciated.
Your officers have been discussing the ad visability of establishing a placement com mittee in/this area. It is our opinion that something positive of that nature should be undertaken in an effort to insure that the Dartmouth Spirit is and will continue to be a living reality rather than a mere talking point. With that in view, your Secretary would appreciate hearing from anyone who has any suggestions to offer which he believes can be instrumental in accomplishing the end we are seeking.
See you at the Tuesday luncheons at the New Athens, and again, if you haven't gotten your three bucks off in payment of your dues, please do it now.
Secretary, 729—15 th St., N. W., Washington 5, D. C.
