Charlie and Marian Archer, now in Ozona, Fla. (Box 246), have another grandchild, making 9, with two prospects for Dartmouth.

Les Ashton, having retired from hospital connections, can go with Louise to the reunion. He is still trying to raise non-delin-quents in New York.

"Pheny" Badger married Miss Ann Lang December 15, 1957 and they are living happily at Nauset Heights, East Orleans, Mass. He is semi retired, working 3 or 4 days a week at Standard Research Consultants, Inc., 345 Hudson St., N. Y., and operating in a small way Ralph S. Badger Associates, Inc., in N. Y. When there, he is at 120 E. 79th St., Apt. 11D. They will be at the reunion so all can meet Ann.

Earle and Candace Barber will be in Hanover if all goes well. Their five children are married and there are eight grandchildren. Betty's daughter was married last September to Lt. Donald Bryant, now at Corpus Christi Air Field. Jane's daughter Carol is 12.

Ed "Buff" Buffum suggests all bring back pictures and souvenirs of past reunions, similar to the pictures of Bill Towler in 1953, and have them on display.

Ray Maloney, living in Hanover, will be in attendance in June. Says he is a very busy Sidewalk Supt. and Downtown Quarterback. You can find him nights at 2 Brockway Road in his attractive modern home.

Steve Perry writes that son Peter S. was married August 31, 1957 to Virginia M. Truslow of Charlestown, W. Va. She graduated from Stephens College and the Univ. of lowa. They are now at Ann Arbor, Mich., where Pete is a graduate student in speech therapy and graduate assistant in speech correction. Virginia is employed in the medical section of the University. Alice is improving after her operation at the Mary Hitchcock Hospital. Final diagnosis as a brain tumor and the operation relieved her condition.

John Remsen advises that the number of those making provisions in their wills or bequests has reached 20. Let's make it 45 on our 45th he suggests. I know there are over that number intending to do something, but delays have been easy and frequently, in the past, costly to the class and College.

Nat and Dorothy Rice are spending this winter away from Yalesville, Conn., in Clearwater, Pompano and Vero Beach, Fla. Ed Robinson in Portland complains that he has plenty of time and few if any of the class give him a phone call when in Portland.

The Oscar Scharrers will be in Hanover with daughter Margaret 10½ years. They have three children and four grandsons. Richard C. is Dartmouth '46. Betsy Ann Brehne is married.

George Steele left for South Africa the end of January - lands in Capetown, then Victoria Falls, Kruger National Park and a leisurely trip down the East Coast back to Capetown. He returns to N. Y. on the African Enterprise to meet us at Pattens, come spring. Bill andSarah Terry are tripping again this late winter. Betty was off for Arizona after New Years. They had to miss Hoppy's dinner.

Marc Wright's daughter Ellen is teaching school in Mt. Vernon, N. Y., and resides in New York City. Marc is looking forward to tennis doubles in June. . . . Howard "Stub" Stoughton has recovered from all his 1956 ills. Grace has to be careful so they may not be in Hanover in June. Howard Jr. '39 is living in Darien, Conn., with his wife Bette and two small boys. He is Asst. Treas. of Hewitt Robins Corp. in Stamford. Lincoln, Dart. V12, is living in Chatham, N. J., wife Irene and 2 boys and a girl. Richard received the purple heart in Korea. Went to R. I. School of Design and is with Westinghouse in Columbus, Ohio. He and Dorothy were married last June and live in Rome, Ohio. Nancy is now Mrs. Forrest W. Hyde, living in Ivoryton, Conn., and they have 2 young daughters. Stub and Grace live in Macopin, N. J., but the address is R.F.D. #1, Newfoundland, N. J.

Victor Olsen has retired from General Motors and from Oct. i to June 5 each year is in Melbourne, Fla., Box 1377. He's back in Detroit for the summer. Crawford Baker is still in Youngstown, Ohio, a commission salesman. We hope to break him down and persuade him to return to Hanover — 45 years is a long time. Jack Alden is in fine shape, taking things easy, but still on the Boards of the Columbia Grammar School and University Settlement.

Ralph Bauman retired January 17. He and Kathryn leave immediately for Florida, one month each at the Keewaydin Club, Naples, Hier's Cottage, Sanibel and the Gulf Ranch, Indian Rocks. They return to Cleveland after the first of May and will head for the 45th at Hanover.

Pierce and Mrs. Webster are spending the winter in Sacramento, Calif., returning to Galesburg, Ill., in March to get ready for the trip to the reunion. Louis M. Fishel is well enough to be back at 445 Statler Office Building and planning on Hanover in June. Line Wilson having retired has taken up music - piano lessons - having had such success on the 75¢ mandolin he bought from Art Easton in Mass. Hall. He is not expecting to get into Tubby Merrill's class.

George and Grace Stiles spent Christmas in Richmond, Va., with Caroline and her family and then went to Hollywood, Fla., until April.

It is with the deepest of regret that we announce the passing of Tede Haskell in Sarasota, Fla., on January 4 and of DonMason in Baltimore on January 8. Vic Dunbar's wife Marjorie passed away peacefully on January 13 after a brief illness. As we prepare these notes a telegram advises us that Mose Ewing died on January 24. Memorial notices for Tede, Don and Mose will be found in this issue of the MAGAZINE.
