Continuing a welcome trend toward an increased amount of entertainment shipped from Hanover, alumni assembled at the Blackstone on April 19 were treated to a forty-minute recorded talk by Prof. Allen R. Foley, adequately titled "Vermont Humor." For those who had in the past spent one or more semesters under Professor Foley, it was forty minutes of humorous reminiscence; for everyone it was forty minutes of good fun. Other alumni groups would do well to try this one.

With summer near at hand, a nominating committee consisting of Al Barrett '44, EdPierce '41, Bob Moyer '43, and Don Mason '13 has been at work selecting officers of the club for the coming year. Because of the approaching deadline for this report, it will not be possible at this writing to proclaim any positive appointments at this writing. One authoritative source, however, states that the closeted committee has named present Vice President Dick Koester '43 to succeed Al Barrett as president. Dick was one of the hardworking Glee Club Concert committee whose efforts were responsible for the tremendous success of that venture in March. From his past interest, we can be sure he will continue to lead the club to even greater efforts in behalf of the College.

A note of interest to us all is the following. On May 4 at a banquet in Washington, BobMoyer was named winner by the National Education Writers' Association of its annual award for the best series of articles interpreting education in the United States. These articles, describing various phases of scholastic and extracurricular activity in high schools about Baltimore, appeared in TheEvening Sun, local newspaper for which Bob has done some fine reporting these last few years. Take notice, Wah-hoo-Wah Dept., and congratulations, Bob.

While on the subject of things academic, we wish to welcome among us Phil Brown '44, recently arrived in town and, we understand, representing a firm whose business is school supplies.

Although May 24 is the date of our last regular meeting for this year, we are looking forward to another summer outing in June or July. Those who turned out last year will agree that this is one of our most enjoyable occasions. Notices will be mailed, so prepare the wife and children for a good party.
