With a forecast of unseasonably warm, wet weather, it appeared that those of us south of the Mason-Dixon line would have difficulty in achieving the proper Holiday Spirit. But, as approximately fifty alumni and undergraduates will attest, the December 20 meeting of the group proved to be an effective tonic. At the invitation of Jud McCarthy '26, these fifty turned out for a cocktail party held at the palatial offices of McCarthy- Hicks, Inc. Either the combined spirits of those present or perhaps the superb selection of "spirits" available, or more probably a combination of both, made this an extremely enjoyable affair, lasting well beyond the usual cocktail hour.
In the midst of these splendid festivities came the announcement by George Parkhurst '3O that a wire had been received from Warner Bentley at Hanover definitely scheduling the Glee Club Concert here Friday evening, March 3.1. At this writing various promotional plans have already been made to assure that this concert will be the most successful event ever undertaken by Dartmouth alumni here. It should receive the support of us all. In this city, annually invaded by the Princeton Triangle Club and the Pennsylvania Masque and Wig shows, we have not had the opportunity, for ten years at least, to show other unenlightened residents what talent lies in Hanover. Any alumni in this area who were unable to attend the organizational meeting January 11 and who would like to participate in the arrangements or simply obtain tickets, please call George (Lexington 1846) or your Secretary (Plaza 6088). Let us not forget: FRIDAY, MARCH 31, 8:30 P.M. SHERA TON BELEVEDERE HOTEL.
