THE Dartmouth Outing Club House dining room has been closed for the late fall, winter and- early spring months of the current academic year.: It will reopen about May i, according to John F. Meek '33, College treasurer, and will continue operations through the summer and early fall.

Miss Jeanette Gill, manager of the D.O.C. dining room, is now serving also as Director of the Dartmouth Dining Association and her heavy duties in this capacity do not permit operation of both dining units for the entire college year. An additional factor is the relatively low volume of business at the D.O.C. House from November through April, making it impossible for the dining -room to operate on a self-supporting basis. While the D.O.C. dining room is closed. Miss Gill hopes to offer some of her specialties, including lobster and steak, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in the Hovey Grill in Thayer Hall.

The main floor of the D.O.C. House will be available throughout the winter, for official D.O.C. meetings and other college gatherings, and the basement will be open as usual to skaters on Occom Pond. Equipment will be available for groups to serve light refreshments in connection with their meetings.
