That's my 'phone. "Hello." "Warde? This is Sherm Saltmarsh. Are you to be at Pattens this noon?" "Certainly am, for it's Wednesday." "Be sure, for I've been fishing again." Well—another of our famous salmon or trout luncheons through the generosity of Isaac Walton Saltmarsh and Pennell Aborn with Ernie Kimball and other '14ers ordering wine. Usually it is a spring festival but this year we had two—see 1914 notes also. Shumway and George Knight also "made it."

Only a few '13ers gathered at the University Club for the Night-Before Dinner. We had more alibis than people: Bill Towler, JackMacdonald, Merrill, Willson, Shumway and Wilkins. Bill Dent was in town after spending a day with Eddie Sides in Worcester. The Mc Allisters, the Nelsons, the Shepards and the Linscotts were down Saturday.

Steve and Alice Perry took a fall vacation trip through New York state. Peter S. is back from Korea and is in his fourth year at Oberlin College.

John Macdonald, Milton Aronowitz, HenryMerrill and Ray Maloney were in Hanover for the Syracuse Game. Ray's son Neil (Cornelius T.) is a senior, majoring in English and one of the Honors men in the Dept. Ray left this month for California but to return by June. The Bill Masons, the Dutch Barends, the RayBronks and the John Remsens were also in Hanover.

"Buff" Buffum toured north from Middletown, Conn., and found in Claremont, N. H., that Howard Ball was in the hospital with a couple of broken bones from an auto accident not serious.

Steve Edwards is at the North Shore Country Day School in Chicago and will be grabbed by Dartmouth according to the prof, who guides the boys collegewise. Eddie Edwards writes that the boy is president of his class, advertising manager of the year book and plays guard. We'll look for him in Hanover. Merry Christmas to All!
